The Journey That Found Me
My story, alongside Muffin- the one who led me to it.
I believe I had been lost for years. Life nudged me repeatedly, but I never allowed myself to follow the path I was destined to walk. I convinced myself that this was simply how things were meant to be—that this small, uncertain version of my life was enough. Fear and uncertainty held me captive, and I mistakenly equated them with peace.
One fear has always resonated more profoundly within me than any other: the fear of losing the ones I love. This fear came to life when I lost my soul companion, Muffin.
By then, I had already been enduring what felt like an unending nightmare — one setback after another, my health deteriorating in ways I couldn’t comprehend. There was no glimmer of hope or light in sight. Muffin’s passing was the final nail in the coffin. It shattered my heart and broke something within me that I don’t think I can ever fully articulate. I lost the will to continue.
Then one day, in what felt like a trance-like state, I got out of bed and did something I hadn’t planned to do. I searched for an animal communicator online and booked a session. An hour later, without any clear reason, I booked an animal communication course with someone else entirely. There were two strangers, neither of whom I had heard of, even though I had quietly followed other communicators for a while and never once booked with them.
And then, I completely forgot about it. It wasn’t until an email reminder arrived in my inbox the following week. I stared at the email in disbelief—I had no recollection of making either choice. It felt less like an action I had taken, and more like something that had simply passed through me. I almost didn’t attend. It felt strange and almost foolish. However, I had already paid, so I pushed myself to show up.
That session changed my life.
The communicator shared details about Muffin that were only known to us. Through her, he communicated with me. His messages not only provided comfort but also rejuvenated me. For the first time since his passing, I felt his presence, not as a mere memory, but as a living presence.
Muffin also revealed that he was busy training a new furry family member. I wasn’t quite ready for this news, as I was still grieving. However, he told me I had no choice and that this new addition was much needed to bring some energy back into our home.
Then came Jordan, a bright little bundle of joy in my otherwise dim life. His arrival truly transformed the energy of the house, and he kept each of us on our toes.
Through the course of time, Muffin gently kept guiding me toward the very purpose I had been evading for years and this marked the beginning of my journey as an animal communicator.
I often reflect on how the very fear that had molded me for so long, the fear of loss, transformed into the gateway to my purpose. Muffin didn’t merely return to me; he guided me back to my true self. Every message I now convey between an animal and the person who cherishes them carries a fragment of his essence within it.
Muffin’s passing didn’t signify the end of what he had given me. Instead, it marked the beginning of the journey he was guiding me on. Some doors only open when something breaks first.
Muffin may have changed form but he continues to love me and is constantly guiding me. I speak to him daily, and that’s my most beautiful blessing.
